About

As Principal, Digital Pylon LLC, Peter Lugli (pronounced "LOO-lee") brings twenty years’ experience in business to business platform sales, marketing, operations and product management, with a focus on business payments, financing and business identity management. He worked at large companies – global leaders such as Amazon, Mastercard and SAP Ariba. And he has helped build and grow small firms too, including Supply Chain Finance (SCF) innovator PrimeRevenue and mining and metals e-marketplace player Quadrem. He was instrumental in defining the requirements in an e-invoicing solution for third party sellers on a globally recognized marketplace. He led the development of AribaPay, Ariba’s non-card B2B payment solution, in partnership with Discover Financial Services. He devised and developed PrimeRevenue’s SCF supplier marketing and onboarding portals (later branded ‘OpenSci’). And he was a key driver in the exploration and vision for non-card commercial payment solutions for a major international payment network.

Peter began his career in law, both in private and government practice. He held positions with the Government of Canada from 1990 to 1993, within the Department of Justice (Senior Special Advisor) and the Department of International Trade (Chief of Staff). He holds degree in Law (University of Windsor) and Political Science (University of Ottawa).

Peter has appeared as a speaker and panelist at events sponsored by NACHA, Treasury and Risk Magazine, and the CFO Forum on topics ranging from big data, supply chain finance and modern payment infrastructure.
